About

In 2016, health and wellness entrepreneur, Richard Gray, and product innovator/designer, Jens-Peter Jungclaussen, began collaborating on ideas for a posture and wellness start-up.

One day, they had an epiphany - instead of relying on furniture and wearables, they could use computer software to teach posture and movement - thus helping users to reshape entrenched behavior and develop lifelong good posture habits. Richard and Peter launched Brightday soon after, adding Jim Morris, a highly-experienced software engineer and product manager, to their team. Working with research partners and movement experts from around the world, they began development on the product which was to become Brightday.

Brightday's first product improves posture and encourages healthy movement while sitting or standing at the computer. Based on the research of Jean Couch (posture advisor to Kaiser Permanente, Stanford University and Google), Brightday models and teaches the posture of people who experience no back pain into old age.

The unique software then uses AI and augmented reality to measure and correct posture in real time via the computer’s camera, without recording any video. It’s a seamless application that does not detract from the user’s workday, encouraging behavior change to:

Replace pain, discomfort, fatigue and stress with energy and relaxation

Be more focused, positive, creative, sharp, and productive

Look better - taller and slimmer - and project more confidence
